Happy New Year! Here are the hair trends for 2019
The new year is here and 2019 has begun! Where has time gone? For many of us this is time to reflect, turn over a new leaf and start a fresh. Thinking about refreshing your look as part of your new year new you mission? If so, we thought it would be the perfect time to introduce a few of the latest tipped hair trends for cut and colours.
Jawline Bob
If you’re a fashionista ahead of the trend then you’ll know that a Jawline Bob is one of the cuts to dominate 2019. This cut takes the traditional bob shorter and shorter with the hair tips falling between your ears and your chin. This look can really be enhanced through styling and is perfect for those of you with a long neck and strong jaw.
Pixie style
If a Jawline bob isn’t making enough of a statement for you, then be bold and adopt the pixie cut. This is all over vogue at the moment and top trend setters have identified this look to be hot this year. The Pixie is great because if you want, it can be very low maintenance, but at the same time it is long enough to style.
Mid-Length Lob
Sooo many of us have cuts that fall somewhere between short and long that we just can’t decide what to do with. Do we cut it or grow it? A mid-length lob is the perfect solution and the best way to stay on-trend. The fewer layers the better, helping to add to the effect of weighty blunt ends.
Snow White
Now looking at colours, we’ve all seen the slick snowy white shade of Kylie Jenner’s hair, doesn’t it look gorgeous? This look is set to gain in popularity. This cool icy blonde with almost a hint of blue is a statement that looks amazing on both, darker and lighter skin tones.
Colourful Coral
In 2018 here at the salon we saw all of the pastel shades and we loved it! This year colourful hair is only going to evolve further with coral in particular stealing the limelight. The warm hue of this shade complements all eye colours and is a little edgier than the pastel pink or lavender that we are used to.
Jet Black
It seems that 2019 will be a year of extremes hair colour wise, as well as the snowy, icy blonde. Jet black hair is coming back! Rich, slick and inky is on the cards, and the more reflective the shine the better! If it’s not your natural tone, this tends to looks best on those with darker skin or very pale skin tones.
